We are delighted to share that EAN Consultants has been approved as an Individual Service Fund provider and broker for Dorset Council. It is a milestone we are genuinely proud of, and one that lets us support more people and families to arrange care on their own terms.
An Individual Service Fund, or ISF, is a way of managing a personal care budget without the responsibility of handling it all yourself. The council allocates the funding, and a trusted provider holds and manages it, arranging support in the way the person chooses. It offers the flexibility of a direct payment without the administration that can come with it.
What this means for people in Dorset
As an approved provider, we can now work directly with individuals, families and carers across Dorset to plan and coordinate their support. That includes recruiting and managing Personal Assistants, arranging the services in a person’s plan, managing the budget carefully and reporting on it clearly, and reviewing the plan as needs and wishes change.
Our aim is simple. We take care of the practical side so the people we work with can focus on living the life they want, with the right support around them.
Real choice in care should not come with a mountain of paperwork. Our job is to carry that load so people do not have to.
Working alongside the community
We know that good support is rarely the work of one organisation. We look forward to working closely with social workers, community teams and families across Dorset, so that support stays joined up and centred on the person receiving it.
If you or someone you care for has a personal budget and would like to understand how an Individual Service Fund could work, our team is happy to talk it through, with no pressure and no jargon.
